Ingredients

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and flour until well combined.

In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.

Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

Allow the pie to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
