1/4 cup kosher salt

1/4 cup cracked black pepper

2 tablespoons garlic powder

2 tablespoons onion powder

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to spice preference)

1 teaspoon ground mustard

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions
 

In a medium-sized bowl, combine all the dry ingredients: kosher salt, cracked black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, ground cumin, dried oregano, cayenne pepper, ground mustard, and dried thyme.

    Whisk the ingredients together until they are evenly distributed and no clumps remain.

      Once mixed, taste the seasoning (a small pinch) and adjust any ingredient, such as adding more cayenne for spice or more brown sugar for sweetness, according to your personal preference.

        Transfer the seasoning mix into an airtight container or jar for storage.

          Allow the seasoning to sit for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together before using.
