Before diving into the specifics of the Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake Delight, it’s essential to understand what a dump cake is. In essence, a dump cake is a type of dessert that involves "dumping" ingredients into a baking dish, layering them without the need for thorough mixing. This method results in a cake that is both tender and flavorful, often with a delightful crust on top. The appeal of dump cakes lies in their simplicity and ease of preparation, making them a favored choice for busy home cooks or anyone looking to whip up a quick dessert without sacrificing taste.

Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 1/2 cups milk

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Layer the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese mixture, distributing them evenly.

In a separate bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix with the milk and melted butter. Stir gently until just combined but still slightly lumpy – don't overmix!

Pour the cake batter over the strawberries and cream cheese, spreading it gently to cover as best as you can. It's okay if some strawberries peek through!

Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs evenly on top of the cake batter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

Allow the dump cake to cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream if desired.
