Ingredients

1 package (1 lb) refrigerated crescent roll dough

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

1/2 cup powdered sugar (for topping)

1 tablespoon milk (for topping)

Zest of 1 lemon (optional, for added flavor)

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Cheesecake Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Use a hand mixer or whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If desired, add lemon zest for a citrusy punch.

Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.

Fill the Rolls: Spread a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each triangle. Top with a small amount of diced strawberries, making sure not to overfill.

Roll and Shape: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, carefully roll it up towards the point. Place each roll on the prepared baking sheet, with the point facing downward.

Brush with Butter: Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter to encourage golden browning.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.

Prepare Topping: While the rolls are baking, whisk together powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl to create a smooth glaze.

Glaze & Serve: Once the rolls are out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over the still-warm rolls. Garnish with additional diced strawberries if desired.

Enjoy: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving, and enjoy the delicious combination of strawberry and cheesecake flavors!
