Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)

2 large eggs, room temperature

Additional melted butter for brushing (about 2 tablespoons)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until fully combined.

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.

Add in the remaining flour, one cup at a time, mixing until you have a soft dough that pulls away from the side of the bowl.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.

Once risen, punch down the dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.

Shape each piece into a round ball and place in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Cover with a cloth and let rise again until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

Remove from the oven and immediately brush the tops with melted butter for extra richness.

Let them cool slightly before serving warm.
