Ingredients

3 sticks unsalted butter

3 tablespoons garlic, minced

1/2 cup onion, diced

2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning

1/2 tablespoon lemon pepper

1/2 tablespoon oregano

1/2 tablespoon paprika

1/2 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 chicken bouillon cube

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

Melt the Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt the 3 sticks of unsalted butter over medium-low heat. Be careful not to let it brown; you want to keep it a lovely golden color.

Sauté the Aromatics: Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and diced onions. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onions become translucent and the garlic is fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Add the Seasonings: Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, lemon pepper, oregano, paprika, chili powder, and red pepper flakes. Let the mixture cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the spices to bloom and meld with the butter.

Incorporate Bouillon and Sugar: Add the chicken bouillon cube and brown sugar. Stir the sauce continuously until the bouillon cube has completely dissolved and the sugar has blended into the sauce, about 2 minutes.

Adjust Flavor: Taste your dipping sauce. If you desire a bit more heat, feel free to add another pinch of red pepper flakes. If it’s too salty, add more brown sugar to balance.

Serve Warm: Remove from heat and let the sauce cool slightly before transferring it to a dipping bowl. Serve it warm alongside your favorite seafood—like shrimp, crab legs, or grilled fish.

Store Leftovers: If you have any leftovers, let the sauce cool completely, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Reheat gently before serving again.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 20 minutes | Servings: Approximately 2 cups of dipping sauce
