Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tablespoons)

Zest of 1 lemon

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and sizzling, carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if applicable.

Cook the Salmon: Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on one side, or until it forms a golden crust. Gently flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes, depending on your desired doneness. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant—be careful not to burn it.

Add Lemon Flavor: Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Finish with Parsley: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Serve: Place the salmon on plates and drizzle with garlic lemon butter sauce. Serve with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy your delicious salmon!
