Ingredients

2 cups mashed potatoes (leftover or freshly made)

1 cup cooked ground meat (beef, pork, or turkey)

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade if preferred)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes with milk, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.

In a separate bowl, combine the cooked ground meat, mixed vegetables, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir well to combine.

Pour the meat and vegetable mixture into the bottom of the pie crust and spread evenly.

Carefully spoon the mashed potato mixture over the top of the meat layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.

Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the top is lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
