2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

For the Filling:

1 cup canned peaches (or fresh, diced), drained

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

For the Topping:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and egg. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 1-2 minutes until smooth.

    Roll Out the Dough: Use a rolling pin to roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

      Make the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread the softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough. Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture over the butter, then layer the diced peaches on top.

        Roll and Slice: Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log into 1-inch thick rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.

          Second Rise: Cover the baking dish with a kitchen towel and let the rolls rise in a warm place for about 20-30 minutes.
