Ingredients

1 package of Oreo cookies (14 oz)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

2 cups milk (for a richer taste, use whole milk)

1 box chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)

Gummy worms, for decoration

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: In a food processor or a resealable plastic bag, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, leaving some larger pieces for texture if desired. Set aside about 1 cup of the crumbs for topping.

Prepare the crust: In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with the melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan to create a crust.

Make the pudding mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk. Stir for about 2 minutes until thickened. Set aside.

Cream cheese filling: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined. Fold in the whipped topping gently until no white streaks remain.

Layering: Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the Oreo crust. Then pour the prepared chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer. Finally, spread the remaining cream cheese mixture on top of the pudding layer.

Top with crumbs: Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs over the top of the dessert. Add gummy worms on top for an extra fun look, making it resemble a dirt mound.

Chill: Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if you have time, to allow the flavors to meld and the layers to firm up.

Serve: Before serving, garnish with a few fresh mint leaves if desired. Scoop out portions and enjoy your deliciously delightful Oreo Dirt Cake!
