Ingredients

2-3 medium-sized apples (red or green)

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)

1 lemon (juiced)

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 tablespoons sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1 tablespoon butter (melted)

Flour (for dusting)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin by spraying it lightly with cooking spray.

    Prep the Apples:

      - Cut the apples in half, and remove the core. Slice each half into thin slices. You should aim for even slices about 1/8 inch thick.

        - Place the apple slices in a bowl and toss them with lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar to prevent browning and enhance flavor. Microwave the mixture for about 2-3 minutes until the apples are slightly softened.

          Prepare the Puff Pastry:

            - On a lightly floured surface, roll out the sheet of puff pastry. Cut it into long strips about 2 inches wide.

              Assemble the Roses:

                - Take one strip of puff pastry and brush it with melted butter.

                  - Place overlapping apple slices along one edge of the strip, ensuring the rounded edges are sticking out.

                    - Sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar mixture on top for extra sweetness.

                      - Fold the bottom of the puff pastry strip up to cover the bottom half of the apple slices and carefully roll the strip up to form a rose shape. Repeat for all strips.

                        Bake the Apple Roses:

                          - Place each rose in the prepared muffin tin. If desired, brush the tops lightly with additional melted butter for a golden finish.

                            - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and flaky.

                              Serve:

                                - Allow the mini apple roses to cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired, and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
