Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced cooked ham (or cooked sausage)

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red, green, or both)

1/2 cup diced onion

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and place the triangles in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing the seams to seal and forming a crust along the bottom of the dish.

Sauté the Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and sauté the diced onion and bell peppers until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Layer the Ingredients: Evenly distribute the cooked ham and sautéed vegetables over the crescent roll crust. Pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring everything is evenly coated. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Bake the Casserole: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly browned on top. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.

Cool and Serve: Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
