Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

3/4 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/3 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped

1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled (optional)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 12x18 inches.

Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.

Evenly distribute the pepperoni slices, black olives, chopped bell pepper, and crumbled Italian sausage over the cheese.

Season the filling with Italian seasoning and garlic powder for an extra flavor boost.

Starting from one end, carefully roll the dough away from you, tucking and rolling until you reach the other edge. Pinch to seal the seams.

Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to make a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.

Brush the beaten egg over the top of the Stromboli for a glossy finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
