1 cup water

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 large eggs

For the Cream Filling:

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Glaze (optional):

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons butter

Instructions
 

Prepare the Cream Puff Shells:

    - In a medium saucepan, combine water and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

      - Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the flour and salt until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan and forms a ball.

        - Allow the mixture to cool slightly (about 5 minutes), then beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth and fully incorporated.

          Bake the Shells:

            - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

              - Use a piping bag or two spoons to dollop the batter onto the baking sheet, making small mounds (about 2 inches in diameter), leaving space between each mound.

                - Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed up. Do not open the oven door while baking.

                  - Once done, remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

                    Make the Whipped Cream Filling:

                      - In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form.
