Ingredients

For the Brownie Bread:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

For the Hot Fudge Sauce:

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

    Make the Brownie Mixture:

      - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined. Set aside.

        - In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.

          - Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

            - Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.

              Bake the Brownie Bread:

                - Pour the brownie batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

                  - Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not completely clean). Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

                    Prepare the Hot Fudge Sauce:

                      - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are well combined.

                        - Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

                          Serve:

                            - Once the brownie bread is completely cool, slice it into thick pieces. Drizzle warm hot fudge sauce over each slice before serving. You can also serve the sauce on the side for dipping.

Store: Any leftover brownie bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerated for up to a week. The hot fudge sauce can be stored in the fridge and reheated as needed.
