Ingredients

For the Dough:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Filling:

1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tbsp cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Honey Glaze:

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1-2 tbsp warm water (to achieve desired consistency)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

In another bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.

        Knead the Dough:

Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

            Prepare the Filling:

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

                Roll Out the Dough:

After the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it onto a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

                    Add the Filling:

Spread the softened butter over the rolled-out dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.

                        Form the Buns:

Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces. Place the slices in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, cut side up. Cover and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

                            Bake the Buns:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the buns for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

                                Make the Honey Glaze:

While the buns are baking, in a bowl, mix the honey, powdered sugar, and warm water until smooth. Adjust the water to achieve your preferred glaze consistency.

                                    Glaze and Serve:

Once the buns are out of the oven, drizzle them generously with the honey glaze while they are still warm. Let them cool slightly before serving.
