Ingredients

1 package of Oreo cookies (about 15.35 oz)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups milk

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Optional: additional crushed Oreos for topping

Instructions

Prepare the Oreo Crust: Start by crushing the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the melted butter, mixing until well blended. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form a crust. Set it aside to firm up.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and mix until creamy. Gently fold in 1 cup of the whipped topping until combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.

Prepare the Pudding Layer: In another bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until it thickens (about 2 minutes). Pour the pudding over the cream cheese layer, spreading it out evenly.

Add the Final Topping: In a separate bowl, fold the remaining whipped topping into the pudding mixture until combined. Spread this over the pudding layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.

Chill and Serve: Sprinkle some crushed Oreos on top for garnish if desired. Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible. Once chilled and set, cut into squares and serve cold.
