Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz mushrooms, sliced

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 cup beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup sour cream

1 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

8 oz egg noodles

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 4-5 minutes.

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Stir in the mushrooms and cook until softened, approximately 4 minutes.

Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it thicken for about 3-4 minutes.

Lower the heat and gently fold in the sour cream and paprika. Stir until well combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles, and garnish with fresh parsley.
