Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare the Crust: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Combine with Butter: Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly. Reserve about 1 cup of this mixture for the topping.

Press into the Pan: Press the remaining mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.

Add Pecans & Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle the chopped pecans and chocolate chips evenly over the crust.

Drizzle Caramel Sauce: Pour the caramel sauce over the pecans and chocolate chips, making sure to cover as much surface area as possible.

Top with Reserved Mixture: Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture on top of the caramel.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Cool and Cut: Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars. If you like, sprinkle a little sea salt on top for an extra flavor boost.
