Ingredients

1 box of brownie mix (approximately 18.5 oz)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, walnuts or pecans)

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined; be careful not to overmix. The dough will be slightly thick.

Add Mix-Ins: Fold in the chocolate chips and, if using, the chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop Cookies: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft. The cookies will continue to cook on the baking sheet after being removed from the oven.

Cool & Dust: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness, if desired.

Serve & Enjoy: Enjoy the cookies warm with a glass of milk or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
