Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

1 ½ tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar

1 ¼ cups warm water (about 110°F)

2 tbsp olive oil

Optional: 1 tsp caraway seeds or sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.

Create a well in the center and pour in the warm water and olive oil.

Stir with a wooden spoon until the dough begins to come together. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour; if too dry, add a bit more water.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl, covering it with a damp cloth. Let it rest for 30 minutes in a warm area.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and shape it into a loaf or round shape. Place it on a lined baking sheet.

If desired, sprinkle caraway seeds or sesame seeds on top for added flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
