Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

1 pound frozen meatballs (beef, turkey, or your choice)

2 cups uncooked pasta (penne or rigatoni)

3 cups marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

2 cups water

Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the frozen meatballs evenly across the bottom.

Add the uncooked pasta on top of the meatballs.

In a separate bowl, combine the marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the pasta and meatballs. Do not stir.

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, carefully remove the foil and stir the casserole gently to combine the ingredients.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.

Return the casserole to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
