Ingredients

12 large fresh strawberries

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp lemon juice

¼ cup finely chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

2 tbsp mini chocolate chips (optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Begin by washing the strawberries gently under cool water. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Cut the green tops off the strawberries and hollow out the center using a small paring knife or a strawberry huller, being careful not to damage the outer skin.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

If using, fold in the finely chopped nuts and mini chocolate chips into the cream cheese mixture for added texture and flavor.

Using a piping bag or a small spoon, generously fill each hollowed strawberry with the cream cheese mixture.

Arrange the deviled strawberries on a serving platter and garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.

Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
