Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Gruyère cheese (or a mix of Gruyère and Parmesan)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until the shrimp are just pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Cream Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream with half of the Gruyère cheese, and add the dried parsley. Stir well until combined.

Combine Ingredients: In a greased baking dish, layer the sautéed shrimp evenly. Pour the cream mixture over the shrimp, ensuring they are well coated.

Add Topping: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining Gruyère cheese. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the shrimp and cream.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with lemon wedges on the side.
