1 lb ground beef

12 oz medium shell pasta

1 cup beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the shell pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Sauté the Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until soft. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.

      Brown the Beef: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

        Add the Tomatoes and Spices: Stir in the diced tomatoes, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

          Create the Creamy Sauce: Pour in the beef broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream, mixing well. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

            Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked shell pasta to the skillet and toss until all the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.

              Serve and Garnish: Spoon the creamy beef and shells into bowls, sprinkle with the remaining cheddar cheese, and garnish with fresh parsley or basil. Serve hot.
