Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour (heat treated)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Graham crackers, apple slices, or pretzels for dipping

Instructions

Prepare the Flour: Start by heat-treating the flour to eliminate any potential bacteria. Spread the flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.

Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together using a hand mixer on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Cream Cheese and Vanilla: Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract to the bowl. Continue mixing until the cream cheese is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

Combine Flour and Salt: Gradually mix in the cooled, heat-treated flour and salt. Stir until the flour is fully combined with the creamy mixture.

Fold in the Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the dip.

Chill and Serve: Transfer the cookie dough dip to a serving bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly.

Enjoy the Dip: Serve chilled with graham crackers, apple slices, or pretzels for dipping. Enjoy your sweet treat!
