Ingredients

1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup sour cream

4 large eggs

1/4 cup water

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

1 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for the glaze)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.

Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, vegetable oil, sour cream, eggs, water, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for about 2-3 minutes until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.

Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped pecans. This will be used as a filling.

Layer the Batter: Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan, then sprinkle the pecan mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining cake batter on top, smoothing it out gently with a spatula.

Bake the Cake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cake: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust consistency by adding more milk or powdered sugar as needed.

Drizzle the Glaze: Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top. Let it set for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve and Enjoy: Cut into slices and serve alongside a cup of coffee or tea for a delightful treat!
