Ingredients

2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (with icing)

6 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

½ cup heavy cream

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

¼ cup maple syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray or butter.

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Open the cans of cinnamon roll dough and separate the rolls. Cut each roll into quarters. Spread the pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.

Make the Egg Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces in the baking dish. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top. Gently press down with a spatula to ensure that the cinnamon rolls soak up the egg mixture.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden brown on top.

Prepare the Icing: While the casserole is baking, take the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls and warm it slightly in the microwave (about 10-15 seconds) for easier drizzling.

Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the warmed icing over the top and, if desired, drizzle with maple syrup for added sweetness.

Enjoy: Cut into squares and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole!
