Cheesy Penne with Garlic Butter Ground Beef

A delightful twist on a classic dish.

Ingredients

8 oz penne pasta

1 lb ground beef

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Onion and Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Cook the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook until browned. Season with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Combine Ingredients: Once the beef is cooked through, reduce the heat to low. Add the cooked penne to the skillet, mixing well to combine everything.

Add the Cheese: Stir in the remaining butter until melted, then add the mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and coats the pasta evenly.

Serve: Transfer the cheesy penne to a serving dish. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley.
