Ingredients

2 cans of refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup sour cream

2 large eggs

1 tsp lemon zest (optional)

1 cup powdered sugar (for topping)

1/4 cup milk (for icing)

Fresh berries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Unroll the crescent rolls and lay them flat on the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pressing the seams together to create a solid crust.

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

Add the sour cream, eggs, and lemon zest (if using) to the mixture, and continue beating until fully combined and smooth.

Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust.

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cream cheese layer, pinching the seams together to seal.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

While the casserole is baking, prepare the icing by whisking together powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.

Once the casserole has cooled slightly, drizzle the icing over the top.

Slice into squares, garnish with fresh berries if desired, and serve warm or at room temperature.
