Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 cup whole milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

1-2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

Prepare Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, granulated sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

Mix Ingredients: Add the melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add in the flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Prepare Filling: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. In another bowl, toss the blueberries with lemon juice to prevent them from getting mushy.

Roll Out Dough: After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x24 inches).

Spread Butter & Add Filling: Spread the softened butter evenly across the surface of the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the butter and gently scatter the blueberries on top.

Shape Rolls: Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the edge to seal it, then cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Second Rise: Place the cinnamon rolls in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.

Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Make Icing: While the rolls bake, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth. Add more milk for a thinner consistency or more sugar for thicker.

Glaze Rolls: Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling the icing over the top.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy the delightful combination of blueberry and cinnamon in every bite!
