Ingredients

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup milk (whole or almond)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.

In a medium bowl, gently fold the blueberries with a tablespoon of flour to prevent them from sinking in the batter.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are fine. Gently fold in the blueberries.

Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
