Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg (for egg wash)

Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Apple Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, flour, and vanilla extract. If using nuts, mix them in too. Stir until apples are well coated.

Roll the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. You should have 8 triangles.

Fill the Rolls: Place about a tablespoon of the apple mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Gently roll the dough toward the pointed end, tucking in the edges as you roll to secure the filling.

Egg Wash: Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the top of each crescent roll with the egg wash for a golden finish.

Bake: Place the filled crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes. Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm!

Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 30 mins | Servings: 8 rolls
