Ingredients
  

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts (for added flavor)

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until thoroughly blended and creamy.

    Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, and beat until smooth.

      Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, stirring until just combined. If you’re adding chocolate chips or nuts, fold them into the cookie batter.

        Preheat your air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for about 5 minutes.

          Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

            Lightly flatten each ball of dough with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.

              Carefully place the parchment paper with the cookies into the air fryer basket without overcrowding (you may need to do this in batches).

                Air fry the cookies at 320°F (160°C) for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown around the edges. Keep an eye on them to avoid over-baking.

                  Once done, remove the cookies from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before serving.
